Rather than manually creating multiple Events for a single event that happens regularly, it is possible to set up Recurring Events to handle this automatically. This is done on the Default page that comes up when a new Event is being added.
While creating or editing your Event, make sure you are on the Default tab and scroll down to Event Recurrence.
-
Click on Add the box next to Does not repeat. Edit…
-
Once you have set up a recurrence, the sentence next to the Edit link will detail the recurrence rule (how often and how many times the event occurs).
-
If you want to change these rules, click Edit. A pop-up box will appear.
-
The drop-down box next to Repeats sets the recurrence increment (daily, weekly, etc.).
-
Repeat every allows you to specify how many of the chosen time increment pass between occurrences of the Event.
-
Under End Recurrence you can:
-
choose Ending after__ occurrence(s) and simply change the number in the box to determine how many times the event will occur before the series is terminated.
-
choose Until and enter a specific date as the end the event’s series.
-
Once you have set the details for the event, the specific dates for the events will appear under Selected Dates. To delete one of the dates click the trash icon that will appear on the same line to the right.
-
You can add another date to the list by entering into the field under Add Date then clicking the button Add on the right.
After you have made the changes, click Save.
